Do you really know your brain? As he goes with you everywhere, it’s worth taking a peek at this text to understand it better

The brain is the main organ of the Central Nervous System (CNS) and is divided into two halves: the right and left cerebral hemispheres. They work in an articulated way to ensure the functioning of our entire body.

The cerebral hemispheres are responsible for thinking, memory, speech, voluntary body movements and all of our senses – sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell.

It is part of the brain which, together with the spinal cord, makes up the Central Nervous System. Both are involved by the meninges, which are connective tissue membranes, that is, they have very diverse cells. The main function of the meninges is to protect the CNS.
The brain is the organism’s main control and action command center. The brain occupies 80% of the brain, which is also made up of the cerebellum, medulla, pons, thalamus and hypothalamus.

The spinal cord is subordinated to the brain, that is, it is connected to it, although it can act independently. It is considered the path of impulses that trigger those involuntary actions in the human body.

The brain and spinal cord are surrounded and protected by the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), known as CSF, which basically contains water with proteins, sugar (glucose), white blood cells and hormones.

The main function of the Central Nervous System is information processing. In other words, it is responsible for capturing and transmitting information to the body. And the brain is the network’s command center.

All sensations and messages need to be brought to him so that he can send specific stimuli to each organ in the human body. For example, when you hurt a part of the body, information is sent to the brain, which responds with the sensation of pain. This is nothing more than the body’s defense mechanism. In other words, he is the one who commands everything and, at the same time, the great protector of the human body.
